Went to see The Purposal tonight---stocked up on my popcorn and whoopers with soda.....now the trick is to put the whoopers IN the popcorn so you have the perfect sweet and salty combo! The movie was exactly as you thought it would be---its a rental but I wanted the snacks!

"The Healing Hands"

Posted by: Angela in

They stand 60 feet high and weigh 30 tons, the largest bronze sculpture in the world. One would like to imagine that they are strong, American hands, but evangelist Oral Roberts outsourced their casting to Juarez, Mexico in 1980. The hands were originally called "The Healing Hands" and they stood in front of Oral's "City of Faith," a medical center devoted to faith healing. But the City of Faith wound up on the short end of a series of lawsuits and declared bankruptcy in 1989. The hands were then moved to the entrance drive of the university.
*Thanks Carmen for telling us about them*

So with in 2 blocks of our hotel we have a movie theater. We have seen one a week since we got here. Today we went and say Terminator Salvation....not bad but not really a blockbuster. It was entertaining at least.

rain storms

We had a quick little storms the last few days. The clouds roll in then it rains/lightening/thunders and is gone just about as fast as it comes in. I do love a good storm. So far no tornadoes in our area though.

Target man

Tulsa Talons are the Arena Football League of Tulsa. We had never seen an Arena football game so we thought we would go check them out. Its not nearly as cool as NFL, but some nice football action for the off season.....

they play at the BOK center--which is a pretty cool building.
Loved this shirt! LOL...the field is half the size of NFL if your wondering.
Talons on the right, Pioneers on the left.

A "sign"

I've heard of looking for a "sign" before but WOW did THIS say it loud and clear!.....and FYI all their test came back great and they are expecting their healthy little boy later this year...CONGRATS you two!
